Sunday Worship
Usually there are two services held every Sunday. The morning service starts at 10am with an average of around 30 adults and 10 children. (There are currently 55 church members.) The children normally stay in church for the first 20 minutes or so before going into the hall for Sunday School. Drinks and biscuits are served in the hall after the service (around 11am).

The evening service usually consists of about 12 adults. It is often quieter and more reflective than the morning service.

The main sources for songs used in worship are Songs of Fellowhip Books 1 & 2 and Hymns & Psalms. The songs listed here have all been practiced by the singing group and thus by many in the Sunday congregation. It is by no means exhaustive. An overhead projector and screen are often used for songs not in the books. Piano or organ are the most frequenly used instruments but a computerised midi music system is available by prior arrangement. Music CDs and cassette tapes can be played through the sound system. A clip on radio mic and several cabled mics are available. A hand-held radio mic may be available by prior arrangement. A loop system is in place for those with hearing aids. Members of the congregation usually lead Bible readings and are available for leading prayers or drama.

A Singing Group meet fortnightly. It principly exists as an excuse for its members to get together for a good sing!! As a by-product this means that there is a group of people prepared to learn songs that the rest of the Sunday congregation may not know and then to lead the singing from the congregation during the service. They are also prepared to 'perform' pieces in services that may not be suitable for everyone to sing. It is therefore a resource available to preachers. The Singing Group is not a choir - everyone is welcome to join, regardless of musical ability. The only pre-requisit is a desire to sing Christian songs.

The Methodist system of Local Preachers means that no two consecutive services are taken by the same person. This has the advantage of ensuring a degree of variety but also prevents consistancy. To view a list of forthcoming services click here

The congregation is made up of a wide variety of people. There are a number of young families, as well as those in their middle and later years. There is a good mixture of those wanting newer worship styles as well as those more at ease with the traditional.
